The Pacific News (PN), ISSN 1435-8360, is the semi-annual publication of the Association of Pacific Studies (Arbeitsgemeinschaft fuer Pazifische Studien e.V., APSA).

It is published through the Department of Human Geography of Hamburg University, Germany.

The PN provides an interdisciplinary academic platform to discuss social, cultural, environmental and economic issues and developments in the Asia-Pacific region.

In order to uphold scientific standards, all publications in the PN are peer-reviewed.

The deadline for the next issue No. 38 it will be 12 March 2012 and for the issue No. 39 it will be 10 September 2012.
